RACE DIRECTORS! Reserve your crew for your 2024 event NOW!

Pretzel City Sports is now taking timing reservations for 2024 events. Don’t’ wait, book us now! In the fall of 2023, we had dates that were 100% booked and for which we had to turn work away, despite us having more crews than almost any timer in the East. FAQ

When does online registration close for events?
Normally, we close registrations for weekend events at midnight, the Wed of raceweek. We do so to give the race director time to download their entries and generate labels for their bibs. For midweek races, we normally close registration at midnight, 2 days before a mid-week event.  Any closing date different from this practice is at the request of the race director. Also, once online registration is closed, it CANNOT be reopened.
I did not get a confirmation email. Why not?
There are normally 4 reasons why a person does not get a confirmation 1) they abandoned the registration process before going the whole way through it and, as such, are not entered! 2) they made a typo in the email address submitted and it “bounced back” as undeliverable 3) they registered someone else and put in that person’s email address and it went to the other person or 4) their server or email service is set up to block certain (or all) automatically generated emails.
Since I did not get a confirmation email, how do I determine if I successfully entered and/or get proof that I am entered?
Email Pretzel City Sports and we will be glad to confirm that you have successfully entered; our return email will become your confirmation. You might also check your credit card or bank records over the following days to confirm successful entry.  The system is not set up to generate another automated confirmation exactly like the initial one, once sent.
How do I make changes to the information that I provided, after the fact?
The best way to make changes to your registration info is to email them or communicate them directly to the race director listed on the race application, not Pretzel City. We have no way of knowing if they have already downloaded your information into their master database and that is where the change needs to be recorded. If there is no email or phone listed on the race application, then email us at rhornpcs@aol.com with your name, (or the entry’s name if it is not for you), the change, the event name, the event city and the race date; we’ll forward it to our contact for that event.
Can I register more than one person on a single form?
No. Unlike online stores that can accept multiple orders going to a single location on one form, almost all events require that you “electronically” sign a waiver freeing them from certain liabilities. If we allowed multiple entries to be listed on one form, only the person filling out that form would be legally covered by that waiver.  Identifying those people who are not covered by the waiver and having them sign one on raceday is a huge hassle that races are not willing to add to their already busy schedule on raceday.
Why Is there a Service Fee for Registering Online?
No race that offers online registration wants to be penalized for offering such a convenience to those entering; they reasonably expect to get the same entry fee that they would if an entry is mailed in. At the same time, costs are incurred by Pretzel City Sports for processing credit card and electronic payments. For the race to get its full entry fee, these fees have to be covered by a service fee over and above the normal registration amount. That is why Pretzel City Sports always suggests to race organizers that they make registering online an “option” and not mandatory.
Is there a way for me to avoid paying a service fee?
In almost all cases, you can mail in the registration fee and avoid any service charge whatsoever. However, we do have a handful of races each year that choose to make “registering online” mandatory. In those cases, the fee cannot be avoided.
How do I get a refund from an event I entered and I no longer can attend?
Unless the race is one held by Pretzel City Sports, the willingness of a race to honor requests for a refund rests with that race, not us. Also, we may have already forwarded your entry fee to that race, and no longer have those funds in hand. Again, the best way to request a refund is to check the race application for the race director’s contact info and send them your request. If there is no email or phone listed on the race application, then email us at rhornpcs@aol.com with your name, the entry’s name if not you, the change, the event name, the event city and the race date; and we’ll send you the contact information we have on file for that event.
